The Casino Speedway will kick off its 2009 season with the annual Car Show on Sunday, April 19 at the Codington County Extension Building. The doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to the general public. Admission is free and concessions will be available for this great family event.
Casino Speedway drivers are once again encouraged to get their cars into the Extension Building on Saturday, April 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The 2009 Casino Speedway racing opener is scheduled for Sunday, May 3.
Currently two special events are scheduled for the 2009 racing season with another expected to be announced soon. The United States Modified Touring Series will do battle at the 3/8 mile clay oval on Wednesday, June 17 and the DART Late Model Challenge Series will invade the "World Center for Speed" on Thursday, July 9. NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace is scheduled to race at the USMTS June 17* event.
