Kent Arment of Aberdeen, the 2006 Casino Speedway modified champion, started the season in grand style by collecting the hardware for both the modified and late model features.
Arment gained the modified victory over Darren Bistodeau of Florence and Troy Leiker of Gillette, Wyoming. The modified heat races were won by Arment, Jay Triplett of Brookings and Chris Prussman of Brookings.
In the late model feature, Arment finished ahead of 2006 Casino Speedway late model champion, Curt Gelling of Aberdeen and Scott Hansen of Garden City. The late model heat races were won by Arment and Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen.
Chad Willmott of White earned his first street stock feature of the year finishing ahead of second and third place finishers, Jeromy Thorstenson of Aberdeen and Tony Konold of Clear Lake. Thorstenson, Al Schmidt of Watertown and Tyler Broksieck of Bemis were victorious in the street stock heat races.
In the casino cruiser division, Jason Grabow of Milbank crossed the finish line ahead of Watertown's Laurie Ward and Marcy Rossow of Florence to grab the trophy. Grabow and Rossow each won casino cruiser heat races.
