Chris Prussman of Brookings finally broke the modified A-main stranglehold of Scott Ward and Kent Arment, as Prussman held off competitors during a bevy of restarts to capture the WISSOTA modified trophy Sunday night at the Casino Speedway. Arment of Aberdeen, Nathan Mack and Curt Kranz, both of Watertown, each won the modified heat races.

In the casino cruisers feature, Alan Thiewes of Kranzburg grabbed his first win of the year taking the checkered flag ahead Jeff Grabow of South Shore and Jason Grabow of Milbank. Bradley Rossow of Florence finished fourth followed by season points leader Marcy Rossow, also of Florence. Cruiser heat races were won by Jason Grabow and Thiewes.

In the WISSOTA streets stocks, Reed Storley of Watertown also won his first A-main of the year, topping season track points leader Wade Tirrel of White and Brian Pearson of White. Tirrel, Pearson, and Rick Reis of Watertown each won street stock heat races.

WISSOTA late model driver Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen found Victory Lane for the second time this season, topping season points leader Curt Gelling of Aberdeen and Kent Arment of Aberdeen in the feature. Chad Williamson of Watertown and Gelling each won a heat race.

This Thursday night at the Casino Speedway, come see the USMTS series for the fastest open wheel dirt track action in the country. Heat races start at 7:00 pm., with WISSOTA street stocks also racing during the show.
