Broksieck has a big night...
Tyler Broksieck may not have won a feature or heat race at Casino Speedway Sunday night, but he went back to Bemis, SD the "big winner" following a dusty evening of racing.
Tyler, after finishing third in the WISSOTA street stock feature, grabbed the microphone from speedway announcer, Troy Benson, and "popped the question" to a young lady in the stands and she said, "Yes!". Congratulations to the young couple on their upcoming nuptials and may many happy years follow.
In the street stock feature, White's Chad Willmott took the checkered flag, holding off hard charging Troy Randall of Watertown and Broksieck. Randall, Watertown's Rick Reis, and current points leader, Wade Tirrel of White each won heat races.
Jason Grabow, the current casino cruiser points leader, picked off his fifth A-main win of the season. Alan Thiewes of Kranzburg and Florence's Bradley Rossow finished second and third respectively. Grabow and Tim Nisich of Watertown were the heat race winners.
A crash-marred Wissota modified feature was won by current points leader, Kent Arment of Aberdeen. Scott Ward of Watertown finished second followed by the #72 car of Dustin Beebe of Watertown. Ward, Arment and Andy Gordon of Murdock, MN took heat race checkered flags.
The WISSOTA late model A-main trophy was snatched by Chad Becker of Aberdeen, followed by fellow Aberdeen driver and current points leader, Curt Gelling , and Scott Ward of Watertown. Kent Arment and Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen each recorded heat race victories.
Racing continues next Sunday night at 7 pm. And don't forget, the WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series invades the Casino Speedway on Thursday, July 12th. Race time is 7 pm. with hot laps at 6:30.
