The Casino Speedway & Budweiser welcomes the DART Challenge Series for WISSOTA Late Models to the track this Thursday evening, July 9th.
The excitement starts at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps and then racing at 7:00 p.m. The DART Late Model Challenge series features some of the best drivers in the Upper Midwest with Pat Doar, Joel Cryderman, Lance Matthees and Jeff Wildung scheduled to appear among others. You'll also find many of your Casino Speedway favorites such as Kent Arment, Curt Gelling, Chad Becker, Chad Williamson and Scott Ward dueling for the $2000 top prize.
Track promoter Earl Benson expects to have up to 35-40 Late Models competing at the "World Center of Speed" for this action-packed event. The Challenge Series Late Models will share the spotlight with WISSOTA Street Stocks and Casino Cruisers, who will also be running Thursday evening.
After four shows, 2008 DART Challenge Series champion Lance Matthees of Winona, MN currently leads the DART Late Model Challenge Series in points followed by Don Copp of Brule, Wisconsin, Adam Hensel of Barron, Wisconsin and Steve Laursen of Cumberland, Wisconsin.
So race fans.... clear your calendar because you don't want to miss this one. As the DART Late Model Challenge Series comes to Watertown and Casino Speedway this Thursday evening, July 9th. Again hot laps start at 6:30 p.m., followed by the heat races at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults; $5 for students; and ages 7 and under are free with paid adult.
