As much as things change in this world... somethings stay the same. Aberdeen's Kent Arment is one perfect example. Last night, Kent Arment maintained his season track WISSOTA modified points lead by capturing his sixth A-main checkered flag of the year. Scott Ward of Watertown and Chad Becker of Aberdeen finished second and third respectively. Arment, Ward and Jay Triplett of Brookings each picked up a heat race win.
Not to be out-done, Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen picked up his second consecutive WISSOTA Late Model feature win, finishing ahead of Curt Gelling of Aberdeen and Chad Williamson of Watertown. Aberdeen drivers, Kent Arment and Chad Becker were the heat race winners.
In the casino cruisers division, Jeff McGuire of Watertown picked up his first feature win of the season, finishing ahead of Randen Mosier of Watertown and Alan Thiewes of Kranzburg. The heat races were won by McGuire and current points leader, Jason Grabow of Milbank.
Running a part-time schedule at the Casino Speedway, Conde's Lance Haskell also grabbed his first A-main victory of the year in the WISSOTA street stocks. Haskell crossed the finish line ahead of Watertown drivers, Troy Randall and Reed Storley. Chad Willmott of White, Chad Odell of Clear Lake and Storley each won heat races. White's Wade Tirrel currently leads the street stock point standings.
Racing action continues at the Casino Speedway next Sunday night at 7 pm.
