Veteran driver Jim Phillips of Watertown made a triumphant return the the Casino Speedway last night by capturing the WISSOTA street stock feature. Phillips crossed the finish line ahead of current points leader Wade Tirrel of White and Watertown's Reed Storley. Phillips, Josh Tangen of Bruce and Bristol's David Orr each picked up heat race wins.
In the WISSOTA modified feature, Kent Arment of Aberdeen extended his modified track points lead with a clean sweep on the night, finishing ahead of Brookings drivers, Chris Prussman and Jay Triplett in the A-main. Joel Waba and Todd Stark, both of Watertown and Arment each won modified heat races.
In the casino cruisers division, current points leader Jason Grabow of Milbank continued his track dominance by picking up his 8th A-main win of the season. Randen Mosier of Watertown and Alan Thiewes of Kranzburg finished second and third respectively. Mosier, Grabow and Marcy Rossow of Florence were the heat race winners.
In the last feature of the night, current points leader Kent Arment picked up his third WISSOTA late model A-main victory of the season, finishing ahead of Scott Ward of Watertown and fellow Aberdeen driver Curt Gelling. Arment and Gelling each won heat races.
Racing action continues at the Casino Speedway next Sunday night at 7 pm.
