Ward finds his groove again...
The outside groove at the Casino Speedway has been very kind to WISSOTA modified driver Scott Ward this year. Last night Ward passed points leader Kent Arment on the outside in the final laps of the modified feature to capture first place in the modified feature. Arment finished second followed by Jay Triplett of Brookings. Triplett, Arments and Aberdeen driver Chad Becker were the heat race winners.
Jeromy Thorstenson of Aberdeen returned to Casino Speedway this week to pick up his first WISSOTA street stock feature win of the year. The past track champion crossed the finish line ahead of Chad Willmott of White and Watertown's Trevor Anderson. Josh Tangen of Bruce, Thorstenson and Anderson each grabbed heat race victories. The current track points leader is Wade Tirrel of White.
In the Casino Cruisers class, Marcy Rossow of Florence picked off her first A-main of the season. Jason Grabow of Milbank and Tyler Schaack of Florence finished second and third respectively. The heat races were won by Rossow and Randen Mosier of Watertown. Jason Grabow continues to lead the points standings by 28 points over Marcy Rossow.
In the last feature of the night, Kent Arment snared his second consecutive WISSOTA Late model feature. Arment, the current track points leader, took the checkered flag ahead of heat race winners, Dean Mack of Goodwin and Curt Gelling of Aberdeen.
