Aberdeen driver Chad Becker picked up his second WISSOTA modified feature win of the season and then capped the evening with his third WISSOTA Late Model A-main victory of the year during last night's Casino Speedway Season Championships.
In the WISSOTA modified feature, Becker crossed the finish line ahead of second and third place finishers, Curt Kranz of Watertown and the 2007 track point champion, Kent Arment of Aberdeen. The heat races were won by Arment and Watertown drivers, Scott Ward and Todd Stark.
White's Wade Tirrel continued his winning ways and rapped up a 2007 WISSOTA Street Stock championship by taking the checkered flag ahead of Aberdeen's Jeromy Thorstenson and David Orr of Bristol. Tirrel, Thorstenson and Orr also grabbed heat race wins.
In the casino cruisers division, 2006 points champion Jeff McGuire of Watertown held off Alan Thiewes of Kranzurg and 2007 track champion Jason Grabow of Milbank to capture his second feature win. Marcy Rossow of Florence and Laurie Ward of Watertown picked up heat race wins.
In the last feature of the night, Chad Becker, as mentioned before took home the WISSOTA Late Model trophy by topping 2007 track points champion Curt Gelling of Aberdeen and Garden City's Scott Hansen. Kent Arment of Aberdeen and Dean Mack of Goodwin each gained a heat race victory.
Even though the 2007 track champions have been crowned, the racing action isn't over for the 2007 season. The ASCS Sprint Cars will be invading Casino Speedway on September 8th. WISSOTA Modifieds and WISSOTA Street Stocks will also be featured in the Saturday night show. Racing action starts at 7 pm.
