July 5, 2014
Hello everybody! Well, another racing season is half over so I thought would scratch down a few thoughts. Despite the inclement weather, I'm very pleased with the 2014 Casino Speedway racing season. I've received numerous compliments on the programs presented this year especially the BWW 360 Shootout which was an overwhelming success and I'm hopeful with the support of Buffalo Wild Wings, sprint drivers and fans we can continue the growth of the event in the future.
With all of the rain this Spring and the re-grading/leveling of the track last fall, I've been pleasantly surprise on how well the track surface has performed and I believe it will only get better as the season progresses. We've raced six different classes of cars this year with 23 different drivers winning taking home the A-Main trophy.
Looking ahead, Casino Speedway drivers and fans still have lots to look forward to in 2014. The H.O.T.R.O.D Tour Vintage cars will be here on July 6th; the Advantage RV Modified Tour presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler will invade the Speedway on July 20th & August 10th; the Brooks/Shaw Driving School will occupy the track on July 8th & 9th.... drivers don't forget to register for these classes at http:/www.brooksshawdrivingschool.com; Kids Night sponsored by Sturdevent Auto Parts will take place on August 3rd; the Track Championship will be August 24th; and of course Country Rock 'N Nights will be at the Speedway on July 25th & 26th with Montgomery Gentry/ Charlie Worsham on Friday & Creedence Clearwater Revisited / Quiet Riot on Saturday. We are so excited to bring this event to Watertown, so please get your tickets today at http://www.casinospeedway.com/event_tickets.html. Let's make this event a success so we can keep bringing back National entertainment to Watertown every year.
So until next time.... a big thanks to all Casino Speedway fans, drivers, pit crews, sponsors & workers! Let's keep working to make racing at Casino Speedway the best in the Northern Plains. See ya at the races!
